I have swapped 2 user's offices and the phone lines are punched down onto 66 blocks that go into the BCM. This makes it much harder if I have to go onsite to physically move the punch downs. Is there a way to swap the ports in the system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Login through Element Manager and select -> CONFIGURATION -> TELEPHONY -> GLOBAL FEATURES -> FEATURE SETTINGS, check the Set Relocation box.

--DB

You can also change it via a BCM terminal. Log in using the Feature ** login and password
to get to the "Terminals&Extns"
Then press the arrow "NEXT" button to get to "System prgrming"
Press the arrow key to find "Featr settings"
Pres the arrow key a number of times until to find "Extn relocatn" and use the change key to change it to :Y

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

On the BCM 450s that have analog station MBMs I have found out that if you have set relocation turned on and the power goes off it scrambles the module order around. When this happens the extension numbers on module 1 are now on module 2 or 3 etc. This is a real problem with a PRI using faxes.
