IPO server edition 8.1, 2 remote offices each with local trunks via IP500 as expansion systems.

46xxsettings filed is pulled at each local office from its respective control unit or server.

I would like to use the SET PHNEMERGNUM 9911 option so regardless of where the user is built when they login it will always take the dial emergency number from the local 46xxsettings file and use the local trunk that is set in that local 46xxsettings file.

Theory is good, but I cant get to play nice.

for testing I have the local 46xxsettings as such:
SET PHNEMERGNUM 917085551212 (where 5551212 is my cell number)
I have the "Dial Emergency" Button set on the phone with nothing in the action field

I hit the programmed "dial emergency" button and the phone goes off hook, but no call is made or digits dialed.
call trace shows:
1/13/14 11:49:19 AM-830ms Extension = 6593, Pressed Programmed Button, Button Number = 5, Label = DialEmergency

Anybody using this SET PHNEMERGNUM option successfully?

These settings are not used on IP Office, you must enter the phone number in the button programming.
If you want that for ll users then set the button programming in a user rights table and copy the settings of the user rights table to all users.

Won't help you sadly but 9.0 has much better handling for being able to set the location of each system and each extension and so which dialing it should use.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

bummer. Thanks for the reply.

FYI using user rights to define where 9N goes, so button is not needed. I assign the rights to users based on their location so local trunking is working just so long as they are logged in at the location they have been assigned.
