when i have a voice message I press the MWI key I get a "Call me back?" message. When "Read Message" is pressed I can then press Call and it takes me to the VM hunt group.
or I Lift handset before pressing key

Is there a way to eliminate these steps and have it call the VM hunt group directly when I press the MWI key?

Populate the "Call Coverage Services" form with your Voice Mail Hunt Group DN. It will call VM even when not lit.

i have a Mitel 3330 and phone are 5330 and nupoint

Me too. Go to the "Call Coverage Services form" in the 3300, select the Voice Mial tab and input your Voice Mail Hunt Group number.

The key functions (is designed to function) exactly as you have described when it is active and no, there is no way to change it.

619Techs responses are only applicable to the key function when it is not active (not what you were asking about)

Programming the call coverage function is still recommended as it allows direct transfer to VM simply and easily.

thank you for your answers
I do not find Call Coverage Services form
now i have two hunt goups: 9000 = Nupoint (Presence : 9001 - 9008) and 9100 NupointMWI
in call rerouting 9100 call rourouting DAY, Night 1 and Night 2 are always alternative number 10
the always alternative number 10 is connected to directory number 900
mitel 3300 Release level is 4.2 SP2
Active Software load 10.2.2.10

the always alternative number 10 is connected to directory number 9000

Call Coverage didn't come out until 6.0, which is why you can't find the form, it doesn't exist in 4.2. I don't know of a way to do this, as mentioned, this is how it was designed to work. You could program a speed call key on the phone to the VM Hunt Group as an alternate method of doing the same thing.

I'm onsite now, looking at a msg light on a 5330. I press the msg envelope key and am getting prompted for a password by NP. I don't see the soft keys asking to reply. Maybe there are some COS settings involved? Seems like I am getting the results ramodjam is requesting, but he is not at v6.

@619Tech re: I press the msg envelope key and am getting prompted for a password by NP

You have changed your Message Key Config under the setting of the phone to use the Voicemail App.

@kwbMitel - Open VM App box is not checked in settings. Functionality is exactly as you explained it. Maybe I was going off hook before pressing the Env button earlier and just didn't notice I was doing it. Anyway, you are right, again...

@619Tech

Don't get me wrong, the call coverage key is awesome, it just didn't answer the question being asked.

Tip of the day (if you didn't already know)

When the call coverage is set for VM, the key can be used as a direct transfer to VM.

While on call, press message key and dial users MB number. Caller will be instantly transferred to the MB greeting.
