i need to change where 2 phones are forwarding (they are external), and i dont have pc comm capabilities right now. any help? i was hoping to get it done without physically having to hard forward 2 phones

Are these 2 phones presently forwarded by use of the Merlin's Forwarding Feature?

yes, to a locl external number. i might just brake down and hard forward these 2 phones to the number i want. i would appriciate any info you could give me though.

Well, at the phone, you just get intercom dial tone, Dial *33, 9, THE NUMBER TO FORWARD TO, and POUND SIGN.

That should do it.

one of the ext's is restricted. where could i check that out.

If you are trying to set up two "dummy" phones to automatically forward to outside numbers, you can program an adjunct to play that role for you - so you don't have tie up two physical phones.

that would be best, but i only have admin from my MLX-20L phone. no pc at the moment

You can do it from the 20L - it will do more than the PC interface. Just pick any unused or "dummy" adjunct and set that adjunct extension up for forwarding.
