I am trying to set display to a PC (running an X-windows session) using the IP Address of the PC. The server sits behind 2 firewalls. Is there a mechanism by which I can set display for a particular user to run applications on X-windows from that remote PC.

Thanks for your reply.
The problem being faced is that the server is in the US behind a firewall and the PC running X-win is in India and is behind another fire wall. Also, the server has no clue about the IP address of the PC as they are in different domains. How do you solve such an issue.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have you considered using vnc on the server then allowing vpn traffic only over the assigned vnc port?

If you could desribe the connectivity between the two firewalls and what traffic you allow that would be helpful. Is it a single application or are you giving the person a desktop?
