set default language

Hi Guys,

I am looking for command which changes language after installation of OS . I am in solaris 9 & would like to set english as default language wheeas now some other Language is set.Please help by posting command which chages language after OS is installed.
or
How do i set on installed OS Solaris 9 default language as english.

You can use the sys-unconfig script to make the OS prompt you again for all of the usual things that it does during installation, including host name, network configuration, etc. If you have all that info handy then it's probably the easiest way.

Otherwise you could manually modify the locale settings in /etc/default/init.

Here is an example of settings for en_US from Solaris 8 machine:

TZ=MET
LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_MESSAGES=C
LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_NUMERIC=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_TIME=en_US.ISO8859-15
CMASK=077
