Hi,I use CR10 and MySQLDB.............
I have ongoing problem with setting up datasourse location.
The problem is, when I am trying to change datasourse location from ODBC1 to ODBC2 where ODBC1 one links to DB1 and ODBC2 links to DB2, crystal makes that change no problem. However when I am running the report with new ODBC2-DB2 connection report shows all the values from ODBC1-DB1 connection. And if I look into "Set Datasurse Location" screen and extend properties for each table linked in the report I can see that "Owner" still old DB1 not DB2. It is confusing. I dont get any errors when I am swiching the odbc locations because DB1 and DB2 are identical databases. But Data in the tables are different. And its still shows DB1 data Even though I swiched DBs.
For some reason crystal wont swich the db

I get this problem quite a lot as the reports I create are run on a number of different databases and machines.

I find that this problem seems to occur mainly on Windows 2K (Not sure if that is just coincedence or not)

The other main cause that I have found is when the report is attempted to be refreshed on a machine which has a different ODBC connection name.

The simplest way I have found to help cure this on machines that seem to have this problem more than others is to create 2 ODBC connections pointing to the exact same DB so that if it fails when setting the location to ODBC1 then reset the location to ODBC2 and that normally cures it (Not exactly a fix, but it works more often than it fails and it's quicker than having to set the location for each table manually!)
