Hi guys,

I am fairly certain there isn't a way of doing this, but just to check ...

I have an external box providing SIP end point/processing etc that then passes calls to our 3300 to deliver to ACD agents. Is there a way of leaving the ACD Path name blank (i.e. not having a phonebook entry for it) and using the CLI that the external box sets to display on the phones?

E.g. SIP Call -> SIP Box -> Set Caller ID (Name) to "Some Company's Line" -> pass to unnamed ACD queue on the 3300 via SIP -> Phones display "Some Company's Line" on the screen.

How many companies?

Could you not have a separate path for each?

Depending on your SW level, the system can support up to 999 paths.

You could use alpha tagging? Put a name against the cli in the phone book. That will then show the name as the caller? Guess if you leave the and path name blank, that will be the only name in the display? That would work

Thanks for the replies guys.

@kwbMitel - It's not a case of quantity really. Currently I assign a path for each number. It just seems a bit of duplication if I'm already setting the path name externally. The main issue is that I can fully automate every other part of the process apart from the Mitel.

@Mitelmatt - Again, the goal is to avoid having to program the Mitel for each path. If you leave the path blank (i.e. not assigned in the phone book) it just comes up with the path number in the phones. :/

There is a timer that determines how long the path name displays.

Set it to 1 second

It's in the COS of the set under Display>After Answer Display Timer.

Would I be correct in thinking this only works after the call is answered?

Yes, only after answer
