Session Variable

Can session variables be passed to a diferent domain name (although on the same WebServer)?
What I want to do is authenticate in

http://www.domainA.com

and cflocation to

http://www.domainB.com.

This works fine but when I place the application.cfm file in

http://www.domainB.com

to check for a session variable passed with successfull authentication it can not find the variable and continues with the application.cfm file.

Have you tried using the SETDOMAINCOOKIES attribute in the <CFAPPLICATION> tag?
