Hello. I have a win 2k server that was named serverA. I renamed it to serverB and installed a web filtering software package. In order to complete some functions in the web filtering software I have to temporarily turn off a program service. When I do I get an error message within the web filtering software that says I must turn the service off in serverA as well.

Where do I access the services list for serverA when there is no longer a server called serverA? I haev stopped the service on serverB but it still finds the service on serverA as well.

I've looked on the main domain controller and cannot find the serverA name in the list of computers on the network.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Backup and reinstall software. Otherwise you're looking at registry changes.

Reinstall the web filtering software or win 2k server?
