Good morning,

Does anyone know where I would check to see which service pack I am running for system manager?

thank you,
Tommy

Thank you,

I keep getting an error stating.

"Description: Could not open the UI. The system may be busy because another application (such as a data conversion application) has locked the company's database. Otherwise, the UI was not opened because an unexpected error has occurred.

Source: 16:22:47 - A/P Payment batch list"

I am running 5.5A (Sage Accpac 100 ERP) (Build 33) (Product Update 1)

Any input would great.

Thanks,
Tommy

Update 2 is out for 5.5, install that.

Database? Pervasive or MS SQL...

In Pervasive you get this error if your ODBC DSN is pointing to the wrong database on the server, double check the DSNs on the workstation.

Hey thanks,

Is there documentation anywhere for update 2? Where do I get it and is there directions?

I am using a SQL db.

Thanks for all your help.
Tommy

You can download update 2 from Sage Accpac's website.

Make sure you are using the server name and not an ODBC DSN in Accpac database setup to point to the MS SQL server.

I will check their website now. As far as the ODBC DSN we are using the server name. Hopefully the update fixes the error. I will install it and let you know.

thanks again.

The update will not fix the error, your setup is screwed up somehow. What does your Accpac business partner say?

Did Accpac work before?
What changed?
Does this happen on all computers?

ACCPAC worked fine before. This error came out of nowhere. Nothing has changed so I am dumbfounded regarding the error. I was hoping it would fix the error but it hasn't

Something has changed, Accpac does not suddenly decide not to work anymore - even on a Monday.
Is this error on one computer only or on all computers?

This error is on one users computer. Our accountant and he is the only accpac user.

I have tried those things. I will try it again though.

Reboot the accountant;)
Delete the ODBC DSNs and let Accpac create them.

Hahahahahaha believe me if it were up to me there would be no such things as an accountant. I will try that and see what happens. How does Accpac create them just by opening the program?

They are auto created when you open Accpac. Hopefully you are running a 32bit OS... if not then they need to be created manually.
