i have a big doubt:

i have just upgrade my "exchange server 5.5 service pack 4 and NT 4 sp5" to sp6a, i just wanna know
if i have to reinstall the service pack 4 of exchange.
At the moment everything seems to be ok, but i want just to be sure.

any counsels...?
thank very much for your help

I do believe you have to reinstall the Exchange SP once the OS SP has been upgraded. If you don't mind, how did you install the SP 4 for Exchange. I have the downloads but the installation instructions only seem to refer to the CD. Any ideas where I could source those instructions?

Thanks

It's best to re-apply the latest Exchange service pack after an NT service pack upgrade. It may be that everything works just fine right now but there may be quirks that show up later on.

I have had to re-apply Exchange SP4 and serveral Exchange hotfixes to our Exchange servers several times and it's really not a big deal. In the SP4 installation files, simply browse to Eng\Server\Setup\i386\ and double click "update.exe". Be prepared for the Exchange services to stop. If you do this during the day, your Exchange users may start hollering.

I have found that re-applying the Exchange service pack (and several hotfixes for that matter), will remove any webpage design customization that you have done to your Outlook Web page. If you have customized your Outlook Web logon.asp file, just be aware that applying the service pack will backup this file and any custom logos into another directory and you'll have to move your custom files back to you exchsrvr\webdata\usa directory in order for the customization to be re-applied.
