Could someone please explain this alittle more indepth to me. I know that for a T-1 you would use "service-module t1 timeslots 1-24", but what about for a 256K Frame-Relay connection to the Internet? How does the bandwidth rate relate to the number of timeslots?

Thanks....

1 timeslot = 64K of Bandwidth. So a 256K Frame Ckt would = 4 timeslots. This may not be necessary, not all ISP's rate limit in this fashion. Follow up w/ your ISP for the correct settings for your CSU.

Benzito is right... Be sure to check with your ISP before making changes to your T1 interface. Most Frame and ATM circuits are sold with some CIR (Commited Bit Rate) or an UBR (Uncommited Bit Rate). This bit rate is usually set on the Frame upstream router and not on the physical circuit.

Be Good,
Mike
