Hi,

I have installed windows 2000 advanced server. When I go to administrative tools and then event viewer. I see error writen in front of "Service Control Manager" error no 7031.
Why I am geting this error? is it a serious error?. I am going to host a website on my machine so that is why I am little concerned, I do not want OS to crash once I put my website on my machine...

Thanks

Loading tha AV is good in that you have eliminated a virus from possibility. However, AV will not detect spyware.

Hi Mark,

I have installed and uninstalled IIS many times. It did not make any difference. I have a dual partione on my machine. On the other partione where I have XP I have ANti virus so I checked the the whole machine with that. I also have Ad-Aware 6.0 to get rid of spy programms. But nothing helped. I have my service set to automatic so, thats how I been handling this problem so far..

If it is a mission critical problem, you might need to bite the bullet and call Microsoft PSS.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark
