why do my server's root is / in http when i specify in httpd.conf a specific http folder ??

Done done done...
sorry but, even though i don't understand why, i had to create a directory with the name of the server, it works now so good o !!
Not sure if I understand your question correctly, but the "DocumentRoot" directive in "http.conf" sets the "/" directory for Apache. So, if you set:

DocumentRoot "/path/to/my/html/directory"

then "<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> will actually refer to "/path/to/my/html/directory".

HTH.1

oops...
sure it wasn't logical, it's just because it was considering old settings (before i made changes to httpd.conf, and before i restarted apache...)
Thanks anyway, hey, i read the other one before, didn't realise you responded to this one too, i am impressed,
it's the first time i have so much feedback from a forum,
thanks!
