i have a web server that gets to 98% physical memory in use and starts to DRAG
i check processes and do the math and it amounts to a little over 2gb of ram, this box has 6gb of ram (64bit standard not r2) and i dont know where to look for my missing ram!
i reboot the machine and it gets back down to 1.6 gb in use then after about 1 hour of use it starts to eat up its ram in use to the point it gets 98% and my machine starts to completely lag.

Do you have a database back-end (like SQL server). Check to see how it's configured to use RAM

What process consumes all the available ram?
Installing process explorer (from Sysinternals / Microsoft ) will give a better view of all running processes.

thanks guys for suggestions, i found the issue was related to vmware running out of ram to allocate to all the vm's
i reserved ram for this particular box and the problem went away.
