Server service stops and console wont open

I have been having this problem for some time now. I go to start the SSM console, login, and nothign happens. I have to end the running app, restart the service, and then it works.

It doesnt happen all the time, just often enough its annoying.

I noticed these entries in the Application Event Log, even when it works.

TSM Server Error: Server: STORSERVER ANR2034E SELECT: No match found using this criteria.

TSM Server Error: Server: STORSERVER ANR2034E QUERY MOUNT: No match found using this criteria.

Hi,

TSM will tell what it dislikes in its ACTlog.
Try starting TSM in foreground.

What is the path of the actlog?

I did a search for *.log files and nothing with the name of actlog came up.

Hi,

you can only look at the actlog while TSM is running.
Then: "query actlog"
Enter a "help query actlog" to see syntax.
Perhaps you have to configure the actlogretention to see entries older than 1 hour...

Or if it is a Windows system you can use the TSM MMC plugin.

The errors you mentioned are not the cause for your problem I think.

Perhaps your database is to big?
What does a "query db" say?

I think the errors are rather benign. The servers is working well; its the clients I sometimes have trouble with.
