Server/Network monitoring tools? 1

Can anyone recomend a good free network monitoring application? I need to keep an eye on mainly Windows servers and there disk space and services that should be running.

Nagios is one:

As the name implies, mrtg was designed to monitor multiple routers, but can monitor an snmp enabled device such as a server.

Not a free application, but it will monitor Diskspace, Windows Services and much more like EventLog, CPU Usage or logfiles:

I've used Nagios in the past and it was good when setup but a pain to do so, ended up using this

Free tools aside, has anyone used Whats Up Gold from Ipswitch?

I'm looking at getting a monitoring solution to monitor things like disk space, services, critical event log errors, backups, cluster failovers etc...

In my last role, we used CA Unicentre, but there are only 20 or so servers to monitor (all windows) so that would be an overkill for this setup.

Most of this stuff (Diskspace, Services, EventLog) can be monitored and handeled by MonitorWare Agent.
