Im looking for a tool similar to microsoft MOM. i have download micro mom but i hate it. i think it too much money for a program that just adds all adir/snapins on one screen. I want a program that will send me an email alert when a error occurs on a server or low disk space, memory low,hot temperature, etc. It could be open source or proprietary. thanks

its open source and looks like its comprehensive feature set but last time I heard about this its only running on Lunix system

/sourceforge.net
Depending on the type of server hardware you are using you may able to use either IBM director, Compaq Insight Manager or something like that since they come free with the server (or if you have a valid serial number for a server) if I am not mistaken) and will do a decent job of monitoring your environment.
