I have 4 sites in the same or running Dir Rep bewteen them.

I have removed a server from one site, the servers have been removed from each site via dir repl howevere the queue still appears in the MTA queue and mail is still attempted to be being delivered.

Any ideas on how i can remove the queue from the MTA queue

Cheers,

Mark

MTA queue is there until MTA is restarted.

Did you have users on the server when you deleted it? PF's replicated to it? Was it the bridgehead? Dan

I am having a similar situation happen.
I am replacing the first server in the site. I have followed the steps in the KB article on it.
I have moved all mailboxes, pub folders and connectors to the new server.
When I stop all services on the old server mail still routes properly internally and to the internet, but there are "Microsoft MTA" messages from the new server to the old server. If I stop the MTA on the new server, stop the services on the old server, and restart the MTA on the new server the queue is gone, but eventually the queue to the old server is recreated and the "Microsoft MTA" messages appear. As soon as I restart the services on the old server the "Microsoft MTA" messages disappear.
What the heck are these?
Can they be stopped, or are they just going to keep coming until I delete the old server from the site?
Thanks
