Server has not yet been opened

hello,

I am having trouble with Crystal Report 8.5 & VB 6.0 when trying to open a report containing subreports.

At first it tells me "The database is up to date." Then it follows by "Server has not yet been opened".

But if I change my code to point directly at a subreport, the subreport opened up just fine.

Any suggestion??

If you're using the RDC, have a look at this my FAQ on changing db location at runtime: faq768-5374. It should help you see how the login info is passed to the main reports and subreports at runtime.

Thank you for helping. But I still get the same error after I experiment with your code.

All the reports names are correct (match cases).
