9.0 Server Edition Voice Mail
It seems to have a myriad of problems, the most pressing is Housekeeping does not clean out old messages. They just pile up until the box gets full. Now my question; is it realistic to put the VM Pro on a different PC...it this possible? any guidance would be appreciated

Yes it is. It always is. Install an application server. Get it set up at your leisure on a new ip address and swap over the server edition VM destination when you're ready.

Are you keeping up with the Commodore? Because the Commodore is keeping up with you.

Like a different server/PC fixes the freaking problem?
Installing an application server doesn't do anything as the server edition is the same.
Change the settings in VMPro so that old messages get deleted every day.
Also clearing the mailbox from the VMPro client is an option too when somebody checks out (quicker too)
This is all about knowing how the product works.
If housekeeping should clear the messages than tell them to do it and if they don't than fire them!

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Peter housekeeping is the name of the setting in VM pro that isn't working, it's not members of staff :)

Ok, bad mood and no coffee i guess.
So Avaya now broke the housekeeping option too?
But than still it is a server edition and than VMPro is only supported on the primary server in this release.

"tlpeter" firing everyone is the best idea so far but I will still have to deal with the VMPro Housekeeping mode feature. I have changed it and nothing happens. The only way to clear the MB is thru VMPro Client.

Jeeh, just sack everybody :)
How did you set the housekeeping?

BAZINGA!

Now it's all "0" . I had it set 6 hours for 7 days and it didn't do anythin. I even tried once an hour.

0 is disabled. are you sure it is hours instead of days?
I would put it to 1

Here is my current settings, I should be able to see results in 1 hour after a message has been deleted.

They should be off the phone after one hour but now from the server.
I hope you do know that?

yes...I did this as a test this morning and left messages but nothing happened after 2 shour

Changing these setting appear to have no effect. [hairpull3]

I stand by my first post.
The question was: is it realistic to see if a second service will resolve the problem?

Yes it is. I would have tried to replicate the problem on another machine.

Just an FYI in case your not aware.. but even if you set the time for 1 hr it does not truly get deleted until the VM system is completely idle.. Meaning no one leaving messages or getting message or AA'a answering calls or vm to email etc.
