I am having problems with my voicemail this morning. When I try to log in the client it says "there was a problem opening the callflow database". When you click ok there is nothing in the client ie users, groups, shortcode or modules. Also none of the modules will route calls, all you hear is "Welcome to IP Office for help at any time press * H". You can call a user and it does go to there mailbox though. I do have a mdb backup and I was able to get in with WINSCP and pull the accounts, names, geetings and wav folders. Should I use the web interface to uninstall the application and if I do will the RPM remain on the server to use for the reinstall?

Not yet. We have a call center with many active calls and I am trying to avoid loss of service.

Try to restart the service from the web interface.
But a reboot is a matter of a couple of minutes of the complete server.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Also if this is an important call centre then a backup server should be there too.

I have stopped and restarted the service 3 times. Oh I am aware of the need for a backup server. I am trying to talk them into going Virtualized too. If I uninstall the voicemail from the web interface will that effect the IPO service?

Does anyone recommend that I wait and try a full reboot of the server before reinstalling? I have diverted all calls that used vm to route so we are functioning and could limp by for the rest of the day.

Yes try a reboot first.
We had some minor issues lately and a reboot gives it.

I will go with a reboot first. That wont be until 10pm MST. I will post the results. Thanks guys!!!

I was wrong in my original post when I asked if the RPM would remain. If I end up needing to reinstall will the voicemail will the .el6 file remain on the server for me to reinstall with?

When you uninstall voicemail pro then you can install it again. The rpm is still there.

I was able to get it fixed and here is what I did:

1 - Rebooted the server through web control (Didn't work)
"after the server reboot the server lost its Gateway!!! I have had this happen a few times before."

2 - uninstalled and reinstalled the voicemail (Didn't work)
3 - restarted the service after the reinstall (Didn't work)
4 - Rebooted the server through web control (Didn't work)
5 - Decided to just dump an MDB backup in and see what happened.. worked!!!!
