hi guys, I'm having an issue with regards to the resiliency feature of server edition. Once primary is down, IP phone displays "enter extension" or "authentication error" or "discover (IP of primary and secondary) once secondary server takes over with the registration. Do you have any idea why is this happening? SCN supports fallback is already checked on both lines, primary from/to secondary. Resilience Administration were already performed on both server.

this is my setup.
Primary - IPOSE Select 9.1.4 IPO DEMO
Secondary - IPOSE Select 9.1.4
both are installed in VMWare

Are the the phones able to connect to the secondary server IP address? Sound like a routing issue.

Indeed, if you have the phones using the server/IPO as their gateway/router then it's not going to work :)

Resiliency or Redundancy? These are 2 very different options requiring different configuration. Server Edition resiliency requires you to run Server Edition Select. Redundancy is Server Edition with Primary and a Secondary server that backs up the Primary.
In either case, when you have your servers up and running, the first time your phone connects it will get its configuration and know if it can't connect to the Primary server it will attempt to connect to the Secondary.
I agree, you may have a routing issue if the Primary and Secondary servers are at two different locations on 2 different subnets. However, if they are in the same location within the same vlan, you've got server configurations wrong.

my 2 servers are in the same subnet. my demo servers are not select, just a standard server edition i believe. but in my client, i installed server edition select. may i know what configurations do i have to check? i already setup the resiliency administration. SCN fallback on lines are already checked.

You can't mix the server types, both Select or non-Select. One must me Primary and the other Secondary. Resiliency is not available in non-Select Server Edition. Fallback only.
Not sure what you mean by your client is Server Edition Select. You're best resource for setting these up is Knowledgebase.

Did you create the trunk between servers through their data VLAN NICs and phones are connected to a voice VLAN interface?
