I have a 9.1.5 Server Edition with IP500v2 expansion. Users have been complaining that old voicemails are coming back into mailboxes and listed as new voicemails, and possibly some voicemails are showing up days/weeks later after they were left. Also, on occasion hunt group voicemails are not activating the MWI on users phones until the server has been completely rebooted.

I've tried removing the hunt groups and re-creating them on the V2 instead of the server but only thing that corrects the issue is a good reboot. Aside from upgrading the only other thing I can think to do is completely wipe the server and start over but that would bring their SIP trunks down for quite some time while doing so and am trying to avoid that.

Anyone heard of this issue and know of any fixes?

yes a known issue with message waiting lights not working correctly across an SCN, upgrade to 9.1.8 which has the fix for this issue.

Listen to Joe2938. I had same issue and upgrading fixed problem

Thank you, an upgrade was our next step and saw some of those fixes in the release notes but never thought to consider the the scenario as SCN.

Although 9.1.8 may have the fix, I'm just curious if that was suggested for any reason over the most recent 9.1.11 release.

Also, do you think the old voicemails coming back as new is related or is there possibly any reason to believe there is "corruption" and the server needs to be reloaded? A secondary BP has been brought in and after a brief investigation suggested it but would like to avoid that downtime if possible.

you can use anything above 9.1.8 because that was the release they fixed it with and newer releases hopefully didn't bring the problem back :)

No reload needed this is a bug that plagued the VmPro on the server for a while and it was finally rectified with 9.1.8
