Server conversion, help required ASAP 1

I have a server (NT4, sp6) that was mistakenly set up as a standalone server. Is there any way to convert it to a primary domain controller without reinstalling NT? It is installed on a 20gig drive using Maxtor EZdrive so I would prefer to avoid another *painful* NT installation.

Any help before noon EST 11/03/00 would be very much appreciated. The question becomes meaningless after noon today.

There was a post a while back about this. I believe there is a 3rd party tool that supposedly can promote a member server to a domain controller. I have no idea if it actually works.

Thanks, Jeff. It's 12:30 and the server is up as a domain controller. Just tying up the loose ends.

I think I'll do a search for that 3rd party software, though. It might have saved me a few hours of hair-pulling.

These is another option for this situation. I used a product called U-Promote a few months back. It worked perfectly well for me. The url for more information is
