This seems like a silly question but I'm fairly new with Netbackup and the answer has eluded me. I'm using Netbackup 6.5 in a Wintel environment and I can't figure out how to do restores from the NBU master server. Restores seem to be mostly client-based. If I have to do a restore to a remote box I don't want to have to go to the box (the client) to do the restore. Thanks a million!

From the NetBackup admin console on the master server, go to

File --> Backup, Archive, and Restore --> File --> Specify NetBackup Machines and Policy Type.

From there, specify the source client and destination as well as the policy type. That should do what you want.

Thanks,

John
