Hi All.

I really hope someone can help me out here. I've been banging my head against a wall and not getting any sort of results out of that!

We have a single domain in AD, and I used GPO to redirect folders to a storage device. This works great. Aside from some initial issues getting used to the feature, it seems to be working as intended.

There are 2 things that I'm having trouble with:

1- The managers here would like to only have folder redirection occur on a user's home workstation(by home, I mean primary). Right now, if any user logs into any workstation using the domain login, their My Docs folders are available.

2- I have been trying-unsuccessfully-to get folder redirection to not occur on servers. WHen a user-say a QA or DEV employee-logs into a test server, I don't folder redirection. I tried adding the server to a specific group, and removing the "Authenticated Users" security group from both the group and the object, but I still get redirection.

Any solutions to these problems?

RE #2:

I have taken someone's advice on how to mitigate #2, but it doesn't appear to be working.

I created a server OU. Under that OU, I created a GPO called server_side_settings. In Computer-->Policies-->Adm. Templ--> System--> Group Policy I enabled Group Policy Loopback processing mode.

This has had no effect, and the documents folder still gets redirected to the domain user's user directory.
