I have win server 2003 web edition. Motherboard is ASUS M3N78-EM. It is setup with Raid 0+1 - 4 WD 160 Gb SATA hard drives. We had a power outage and the generator failed to kick on, when the UPS ran out everything shut down. When the power came back on and I booted the server up I received an error "Strip mirroring degraded." I bought a new WD 160 Gb SATA drive. Now when I boot up I hit F10 to go to my raid utility but it does not see the new hard drive. I then formatted the hard drive to NTFS and it still does not seem to see it. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks, RodentAdmin

Are your SATA controller and RAID controllers one in the same or are they separate? The fact that you were able to format this new drive means that the SATA controller can see it.

I actually formatted the new SATA on a different PC. Forgive my ignorance, I'm a newbie at this. I do not have like a SATA controller card. I installed the raid utility from NVIDIA from a floppy when I installed 2003 web-edition.
