Hi,

I'm supposed to get the serial numbers on some IP400 modules for upgrade information -- I was fat and happy writing down the numbers from the white labels on the back -- until I realized that all three 30 port digital modules had the "same" serial number.

Either they're clones, or those aren't the serial numbers.

Do you know where I could find them?

Thanks for any help.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Do you need the serial for a new license?
This would be the serial number on the feature key or dongle(parallel/r232/usb).
On the back of the IP office or a license server.

Thanks, (I think) I'm guessing that's something you'd want to write down DURING the install.

I think on some units it was on the back and underneath.
Looking at an SOE I have here its a sticker underneath,

You have top, Unit Type and PCS Level,
BARCODE,
Avaya Part Number,
BARCODE,
SN 05FC04XXXXXXX

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACA - IP Telephony
CCNA - Passed at last.

Yep, been bitten on my ar** by that one in the past.

If you still have the boxes that the units came in, the serial is on there

Thanks.

I got to "re-allign" those six modules today.

But at least I got the serial numbers.

Just out of interest, why would you need the serial numbers for an upgrade?? I've never paid any attention to the serial numbers unless the kit blows and gets sent back!!!

Pardon my ignorance.
