My brother in laws computer WinXP HAS a corrupted system file and would not boot up. I tried to load the WINXP disc to repair the operating system but something strange happens, WINXP gets to the 1st screen but never loads the inital files which in turn never allows my to hit F6 to put the raid driver on. It does give me the option to go into safe mode but with the corrupted file that doesn't work either. I also tried to restore the drive image I created for him but the same kind of problem occurs their. The Drive Image CD starts to boot up shows the programs 1st screen but never goes any further. So in conclusion I can't boot into Windows, I can't reinstall Windows or restore drive image, the hard drive shows up normally in the bios and tries to load windows but has a corrupted windows file. I assume it's the hard drive itself but the error message tells me it's a windows problem but I can't do anything about it. Any suggestions?
