Hello,
I wonder if any one can help me.
When i send email from another one's mailbox there is always the line "sentby ... on behalf of ...."
Is there a way to send email without that line.
Without changing user.id
So that the receiver don't see that someone else wrote the message.

Hello,

We switch IDs, and when then is not an option, we have our users use iNotes (i.e. Admin Assistance wants to send an email to the Company as if they were the CEO). Option #2 can be dangerous, but it all depends on your company policy. Maybe someone else knows of a safer way.

Rgds,

John

Consider the point of view of the user recieving the mail. Since it is not the user of the mailbox who has actually composed the mail, it is normal that the reciever be alerted to the fact.

On paper reports, it happens quite often that the document is edited and published under the authority of a person who neither composes the report nor signs it, yet everyone finds it normal.

I fail to understand what the issue is with the "Sent By" line. I would certainly not appreciate being blamed for a mail having been sent in my name and full of mistakes.

Pascal.

Pascal,

I personally agree with you but when a project manager tells his secretary to send a mail in his name he don't want that the reciever can see that his secretary send the mail.

I think there is nothing else than change user.id

thanks any way.

We all know how useless it is to argue with a manager ;-).
