Sendmail MX record lookup

I m trying to have sendmail check for mx records for outside boxes that connect to it. I know this is done in postfix (it checks to see wether the ip that connects has a valid DNS MX record and then acts accordinly). Anyone has any idea how can this be done in sendmail?
