Should a sendmail administrator also have to administer exchange?

No, since Sendmail and Exchange are totally separate products. //Daniel

Well, I do. Sendmail opensource and switch (plus spam filter) along with Exch 2k & 5.5 in our environment.

Just know that it can get a bit hectic at times.
and I would never recomend just 1 person. It leaves no time for much of a life.
