Sending with held numbers to short code (busy / music etc) 1

I want to send any one who does not send the CLI to a short code to return busy tone or music. I have added ! to the incoming CLI box on the incoming call route but calls still get routed to the main reception when I make a call in withholding my CLI (By dialling 141 prefix) I have added my mobile number to IC CLI and the call gets routed to music - why does ! not work?

I don’t understand

Why...that would be frustrating for the caller.
Why don’t you play a message to inform them you don’t accept calls unless the provide there caller ID.


So when the call comes in you get routed to Music.

Isn’t that what you want.

And what is !
What is it supposed to do.
I don’t see a shortcode character fo this in the default list.

You have to also enter * as incoming number:

Are the calls that you are looking at number withheld or not available?


! : Matches calls where the ICLID was withheld.
? : for number unavailable.

I couldn’t see that in the shortcode default codes..!

Must remember that. Or put my glasses back on.

I finally got this working by using anonymous in in the incoming cli field instead of !
