Sending mail via groupwise

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has a solution for sending email via groupwise using a third party piece of software. Basicly I have a database that in circumstances we need to send emails to suppliers, is there any kind of interface for this, command line or other?
I have it setup in lotus notes, the client is changing to groupwise, I need it wo work much the same as notes. ie they click a button the mail is sent, they can then see the message in notes under sent messages (or what ever it is called in notes).

Please Help, I don't seam to be able to find informatin about this!

This can be accomplished using MAPI.

We approached Novell for a solution for this. The e-mail addresses were in Excel and they wrote us a script for approx GBP500 it worked really well as it should have done at that price!
Or alternatively you could upgrade to GroupWise 6 as it has this extra functionallity!
I guess it depends on how good a programmer you are as you can guess we aren't programmers!
I just thought it might be useful for you to know htat it is possible!

There are some VB/VBA scripts that may help you. A fellow by the name of Dimitri Furman has written the necessary MODs which can be downloaded from his Yahoo briefcase at

You will need some experience with VB or find someone who does. Dimitri offered some advice for me when I started with it but that was all.
