I have a question to see whether if a incoming call to a M3900 type phone can be sent through to voicemail by pressing a key. Rather than having to let it ring till it forwards on "no answer"? I want to basically be able to screen my calls. The user guide does not appear to suggest that this can be done? Has anyone done this before?

There is a global plugin that can enable that. Global plugin 207 is the one.
