I am looking to send a document created in word as an email (not an attachment).

The document will have fields that will be filled with fields from an Access database. (NOT SURE HOW TO APPROACH THIS).

The document is then email as thought sentto email had been selected from the file menu in word. (NOT SURE HOW TO APPROACH THIS).

I imagine I would need to create a document in word for the first part and this may be saved to disk so that the program may call the file when needed and fill in the appropriate fields.

I have thought about instantiating a word object so the process can be hidden from the user??

Hope someone can help Regards

I can answer part of this. First of all set up your query in Access with the fields you want in your word document. Next create your document through the mail merge helper and open the datasource browsing to the Access Database you want to use. (Change Files of Type to *.MDB). Choose the Query Tab and then select your Query. You will then be able to insert your fields and merge to your document.

Why do you want to email it as a document rather than an attachment? Also why do you want to hide it from the user? If I knew why I might be able to help you with the rest.

I want to send it as a document asI would like it to be the message of the email, and to have it hidden it purely to help automate the process as emails will be containing different information and going to different recipients.

Hope you can help further ;) Regards
