Hi

I've been having a problem over the last few weeks
sending large (1.5 - 4mb) emails via 56k dialup

Have contacted isp(s) (am using 2 and having the same
problem with both) everything seems ok at their end

I can send small text emails no problem

Assuming I was having a software conflict, I've
reformatted my system & have a blank slate - no
additional programs loaded

Have set up email, tried to send a 4.03mb file & received
the following message:

An unknown error has occurred.
Subject '', Account: 'mail.arcom.com.au',
Server: 'mail.arcom.com.au', Protocol: SMTP,
Server Response: '554 5.7.1 Command rejected',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error
Number: 0x800CCC6F

Can someone please tell me if this problem is happening
at my end, or the isp's end. I'm running around in
circles here & I need to send large emails for work

Thanks
Helen

1. Are you zipping these files up or sending them in their native format?

2. Have you asked your ISP's if they have limits on the size of file you are sending?

3. What mail client (Outlook, Eudora) are you using?

4. Have you tried it with Internet Mail such as Yahoo or Hotmail?

Just in general a 4mb file is pretty big to send on a 56k connection.
