We are running Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003.

We have a distribution list within the helpdesk@xyz.com email address which sends to 4 people within the company. However, when the reply to helpdesk e-mails they are sent out as the individuals email account, IE Joe.Bloggs@xyz.com.

Is there some way to force outlook to send as helpdesk@xyz.com when replying to mails that come into a distribution list.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response.

We have tried this, and we have trouble sending the mail out, this is what we get back

Any ideas ?

Have you given Mailbox rights to the users who use this Resource Mailbox?

Yes we have given permissions.

All users are listed as having full mailbox rights to this general mail account.

Ooops... I lie like a cheap watch

Check the lower section of the blog for

7. In the Permission Entry for MailboxOwner dialog box, click This Object Only in the Apply onto list.

Thanks again for your assistance.

We have followed the guides pretty much to the letter and tried a number of things aside from the guide also ;)..

We have managed to get 1 of the 4 users the ability to reply as helpdesk, however all 4 users are setup in exactly the same way. So we are investigating further to see if/how/why we have setup something incorrectly.

Will post findings and cries for more help as we discover what is going on.

Cheers
