Hi All,

Getting a little confused with setting up system alerts on an IP office system. Keeping in mind, I didn't set this system up originally. But the SMTP setting are setup to run from our exchange server (using hub transportation protocol so no authentication is required) and this is working great for our voicemail setup, but its not working for sending system alerts (using same server address and port, just different from email address)
There is an SNMP agent configuration setup with alarms set as well, but we still can not get the alarms to come through. Do we need to disable the SNMP Agent config?
This is all setup using Manager 10.0.0.4.0 Build 5

There is information on that tab, put in by the previous technician.

Try temporarily changing the IP Office's System | SMTP settings to the same From address that works for voicemail. If that works then it may be a Exchange issue. Whilst you say no authentication is required, most email servers, including Exchange, will only forward/relay emails for accounts that are on that Exchange server or belong to their email domain.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
