Hello,

I am setting up a temporary situation where if someone calls ext. 290 and they don't answer in 4 rings it bounces to other phones. I was able to do so by creating a cover path and a cover group. The cover group is Point1 on the coverage path but the rng: is left blank. It works but I need it bounce back to the voicemail at ext 290 if no one answers after 6 rings. Do I need to assign the next path to the coverage path to VM or will I need to change something for Point2?

Thanks for your help!

I have a similar setup for a help desk. Main number has 3 rings before going to cover path. Cover path point 1 is set to cxx which is a cover answer group for 5 rings (rings all phones in the group at once); point 2 is h99 to send call to main number voice mail if no one on the CAG picks up the call.

That rng: field need to have a count on it or it sits at that cover point forever.

Thanks! I tried adding h99 as Point2 but the line just went silent after it rang 5 times at the other extensions. If added a next coverage path of 105 (our coverage path that sends it to voicemail) would that work?

Disregard that. I got it to work by changing Point2 to h98. Thank you for all of your help.
