I have a user that used to only work remotely and had a non DID VDN of 7111 to just receive messages. They now work onsite and have been given a DID number of 4111 to use on their new phone. I’d like calls that come into 4111 to ring at 4111 and then go to the voicemail of 7111.

How can I accomplish this? I’ve very new at this but I’ve tried playing with vectors, coverage paths, and auto-attendants but I could have been missing a step… or two.

I would tare down the VDN, build it back as an extension with (x) port then assign it a coverage path to the DID number. The downside is VM on the non DID number will have to be checked if they do not answer the calls.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

The way I would do this is..

VDN 7111 - point to the specified vector
create the following vector steps...
01 wait-time 1 secs hearing ringback
02 messaging skill xx for extension 7111
03 stop

skill xx (voicemail hunt group)

then create a new coverage path for this user and point to vdn 7111 - assign this to station 4111 and change the message lamp extension to 7111.

that should do the trick.

I should also mention that 7111 is part of an enhanced-list in intuity so I’d prefer to keep it as is if possible. As this would also require less user intervention.

Thanks for your help. It still looks like i'm missing something... can you please take a look at the setup below?

Would it work if instead of doing all that you put 4111 as secondary extension on V/M 7111?
