Not sure if this is the right place to post this but what the hey...

Got a friend with a problem (haven't we all!) what they're trying to do is send an html page as the main text section (not attachment) through outlook to many people but is really struggling!

on my machine at work we use a different email system to 2000 so any trial and error i do doesn't really help them!

They've tried a few things including saving the html as *.mht format and setting as stationary, but this sent all text as urls or something!

Then there copying the html into the view - source section of 2000, this comes up in notepad with no tabs!

Not sure! (does this make sense!)

Dave

Theres nothing worse than an idea when its the only one we have!

Assuming the web page is not built with frames, you might try first selecting the entire page you wish to send (Ctrl-A) and copy it (Ctrl-C). Then before opening a new message, change the message format in Outlook to HTML.
Outlook 2000: Tools|Options|"Mail Format" tab
Outlook Express: Tools|Options|"Send" tab
Start a new message and paste into the body.

Hope this helps. If not, please clarify what email client your friend is using and, if possible, the exact web page they're trying to send.

If Outlook is mailing through a POP server, it should send HTML OK with cut and paste. If Outlook is running through an Exchange server, it should send HTML OK with cut and paste for all clients on the Exchange server. For sending to internet addresses from an Exchange server, you must go to each addressee in the address book, select Properties for that user, select Send Options and check MIME and HTML to specify the format. Otherwise, the default action for the Exchange server is to convert HTML and RTF to plain text when sending over the internet. However, a lot of the non-POP receiving servers are now converting HTML to plain text or not accepting HTML at all and responding with an error.

In MS Outlook, in the address book-->Properties of the user, and then there is no Send option!!!!
