Hi all,

I need help.

I have a definity csi running R8 software. I have a telephony monitoring software that was locally developed by me collecting data from the system.

Now the client wants a situation where the TMS allocates amounts to eash user auth code, that has been done. The problem is how to send a command from the software to the pbx to disable a user's auth code once the amount allocated to that user has been exhausted. I do not have the foggiest idea as to how to do this and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Please assist me.

Thanks.

you might beable to do something with a CTI interface and a DLG connection via a mapD.

Not a programmer, but maybe you could build an app that logs onto the pbx using a vt100 terminal emulator, and have it go tru all the steps as if you were manually entering all the commands?

Seems like that'd be pretty straight forward, but again I don't write programs.

Thanks RTMCKEE. What I don't know now is whether I still have to write the command in pure english form, like "ch st 1232" or is there a special coded format to be used?

if your emulating a vt100 (or other terminal) you'd send the commands in english. The tricky part will be to get the system to "page down"; "page down"; tab; tab; tab;. To get to the field you want to change.

There are special codes for tab, pg dn, enter, etc for the vt100 emulator. here is a FAQ on how to program the keys for vt100
Do a search on this section of the board for VT100 seemed like alot of good stuff.
