Sending a page of text to a fax machine

Hi

I know how to email text to an email recipient using the php mail function, however is there a way to send the text to a fax recipient?

I am not sure this is at all possible, however any responses will be much appreciated.

Is there a way of transmitting form data to a fax machine, in a similar way that is used to send form data to an email address? Please can anyone assist? Do any PHP functions exist to do this?

No. You would have to do it manually.

You would have to have some sort of fax server on your machine or within your network.

Then you would have to simulate the transport, which should not be too difficult.
