HI, I am not having much luck fathoming out how to make an unanswered ring group drop into a voicemail box on a 3300 (s/w 4.1). I have read the FAQs and believe I need to setup a NameTag hunt group but I have tried a few permutations without success.

Here's what I want to do:

Ring group 507 has two members: 137 and 437

On no answer ('Overflow'?), caller goes to the VM for 437

Would someone tell me exactly what to put where!?

Many thanks

I should have continued. If you are using the embedded voicemail, create a name tag hunt group *437. Re-Route this always to voicemail and make this your overflow point.

Hi Bwar,

Thanks for the message - it is just the embedded VM. I will try again - I have been down that route but I expect I missed something. When I tried this earlier, directly dialling 507 rang both phones and then 437 just rang and rang - no VM kicked in. Mind you, I have just rung 437 directly and didn't get to VM either so perhaps there's a config issue elsewhere!

Would you just let me know if there are any specific settings for the name tag hunt group setup, apart from calling it *437, and can you confirm that I don't need to actually put extension 437 in that group.

Regards etc.

Edit: Ok, think I have sorted this...

1) The user had changed phones and not setup VM properly on the replacement

2) I had to change the rerouting entry for 'extension' *437 and set all conditions to go to the VM service.
