Send MS Access Hyperlink as attachment

Hi,

I have a form which is used for document control. It has a field which hyperlinks directly to the controlled document.

When I activate such a document, it emails relevant people informing them of the new rev, doc title etc. It also shows the path of the document but I'd like to add this file as an attachment.

I've tried:

.attachments.add textbox (where the texbox is the field containing the hyperlink)

However, I just get an error message.

Some help would be approciated.
