Jun 20 02:08:15 dns2 sendmail[27209]: j5K97DOx027207: to=<bijoo_75@yaho.com>, ctladdr=<me@mydomain> (549/100), delay=00:01:01, xdelay=00:01:01, mailer=esmtp, pri=30351, relay=nomail.yahoo.com. [216.145.48.35], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection timed out with nomail.yahoo.com.

but when i put smart relay host , it relays the mails through that server.

You will need to edit 2 files. First edit /etc/mail/local-host-names and make sure the machine you are sending mail from is in there. Next you will need to edit /etc/mail/access and allow either your domain or e-mail account to relay. You can also allow relaying by host name (machine name). Any time you edit this file you will need to rebuild the database by using the following command:

makemap hash /etc/mail/access.db < /etc/mail/access

note: If you are using smtpauth you don't need to do the second step.
