Would like users to be able to switch the from e-mail address to 2nd mail domain name.

Company has 2 domians. company1.com and company2.com. Exchange is configured to receive mail from both domains. company1.com is the primary exchange domain. Users need to send mail from either company1.com or company2.com.

What is the best way to do this? I add the from button to Outlook 2003 and manaually type in the company2.com address, send the e-mail and it shows up as the company1.com address to the receipient??? NOTE: I also have to turn off auto name checking in Outlook too or else it will revert to the primary SMTP address in Outlook.

Anyone know the best way to do this???

BTW, when I said "best," I said it because there's no good solution. You could create a whole separate mailbox that would be used by the second domain email account and give the first account send-as perms on it, and then you'd be able to select that account for the From field. But that's a lousy way to go about it, having to maintain two separate mailboxes...

you could also setup the second account as a pop3 account with send only (no download) and the user can select the account in the from dialog box when creating a new message.

In some cases, users specifically want to maintain separate mailboxes. I have recently tried this however, and even after using the From filed, it still uses the primary domain address as the reply to for all NEW messages. I have not been able to get this to work...
